Alle reizen zijn onder leiding van een ervaren plaatselijke gids in een voertuig met airco. Ingesloten zijn alle toegangsgelden, accommodatie op basis van B&B (Zie per reis voor meer details) activiteiten en koffie/thee. Er is altijd een “cool box”met ijsblokjes en een reisgids met informatie over de flora, fauna en het gebied etc. aanwezig in het voertuig.

Depart from Upington to the largest camp in Kgalagadi Trans Frontier Park, Twee Rivieren. Afternoon game drive in this 37 000 square km park. Game such as, gemsbok, springbok, blue wildebeest, and red hartebeest are seen very often. The Park is well known for good sightings of lion and cheetah and is a bird watcher’s paradise with more than 20 larger raptor species. DAY 4 Molopo - Augrabies - Depart to Augrabies Falls National Park. En route we visit Tierberg Nature Reserve in Keimoes, from where one has a beautiful view of the lush green Orange River Valley. We also visit the water tunnels at Kakamas. Visit the Augrabies Falls, which is the sixth largest waterfall in the world when South Africa’s largest river, the Orange is in flood. Sight seeing- and game drive to awesome viewpoints such as Ararat and Oranjekom on the Orange River Gorge. Giraffe, springbok, gemsbok, eland, and klipspringer can be seen. Fish eagles and black eagles are common residents. Overnight: Augrabies Meals: B, L & D
DAY 5 Augrabies - Upington Optional 2 – 3 hour River Rafting at € 27- per person. Depart to Upington. En route visit the Persian Water Wheels at Kakamas. From Kakamas we drive on the scenic gravel road passing through a large quiver tree forest, south of the Orange River between Kakamas and Keimoes. Our next stop is at the largest inhabited inland island in South Africa, Kanoneiland. En route we do some wine tasting at the second largest cooperative wine cellar in the world, the Orange River Wine Cellar. Arrive in Upington during the afternoon. End of tour. Meals: B

DAY 3 Kgalagadi - Klipkolk - Depart to Klipkolk Guestfarm in the Rietfontein area via the 10,000 ha Koppieskraalpan. En route we pass a breeding colony of white-backed and lappet-faced vultures. We make a stop at the Farini’s Lost City on Koppieskraal farm. The 12 ha Klipkolk dam is home to many waterfowl species. The adjacent sweet thorn (acacia karoo) bush offers splendid bird viewing. More than 100 bird species have been identified here. The guesthouse, the original house was erected in the late 1800’s, is the only facility of its kind in this area and the owners are caterers of note, specialised in local traditional dishes. DAY 4 Klipkolk - Augrabies - Depart to Augrabies Falls National Park. En route we visit Tierberg Nature Reserve in Keimoes, from where one has a beautiful view of the lush green Orange River Valley. We also visit the water tunnels at Kakamas. Visit the Augrabies Falls, which is the sixth largest waterfall in the world when South Africa’s largest river, the Orange is in flood. Augrabies has a relatively high diversity of bird life and more than 180 species have been recorded. This is due to the diversity of bird habitats, which include the Orange River and adjacent riparian vegetation, the cliffs and gorges. Sight seeing- and bird watching drives & walks. We visit awesome viewpoints such as Ararat and Oranjekom on the Orange River Gorge. Giraffe, springbok, gemsbok, eland, and klipspringer can be seen. Fish eagles and black eagles are common residents. Augrabies is one of the best places in the Northern Cape to see the booted eagle and peregrine falcon. Overnight: Augrabies Meals: B, L & D
DAY 5 Augrabies - Upington - Bird watching drives and walks until midday. Depart to Upington. En route visit the Persian Water Wheels at Kakamas. DAY 6 Upington – Witsand - Depart for Witsand Nature Reserve. Few eco-destinations in the Northern Cape are as scenic as Witsand Nature Reserve. Only Witsand can offer you sensual, flowing white dunes – twenty to sixty metres high – surrounded by copper-red Kalahari sand, Acacia woodland and the Langberg Mountain range. Home of the famous “Brulsand” or Roaring Sands of the Kalahari. Under the right conditions, there dunes utter an eerie rumble when disturbed. Witsand Nature Reserve is a scenic park, teeming with bird life, including the Namaqua sandgrouse, sociable weaver and Africa’s smallest raptor the pygmy falcon. DAY 5 Fish River Canyon - We drive to the Fish River Canyon via Namibia’s 2nd largest dam, the Naute Dam. Sightseeing at the Canyon, which is the 2nd largest canyon in the world, before we proceed to Ai-Ais Hot Springs. Relax in the pools and spa. Overnight: Ai-Ais. Meals: B, L & D
DAY 6 Ais-Ais – Klein Pella Depart to Springbok in SA via Noordoewer Border Post. Proceed to Klein Pella near Pella. Klein Pella is an oasis in the desert, being an grape export farm and the largest date farm in the Southern Hemisphere. Overnight: Klein Pella Meals: B, L & D

DAY 6 Ais-Ais – Diamond Coast - We cross Noordoewer Border Post back to South Africa and proceed via Steinkopf to the crayfish harbour town Port Nolloth, with its many diamond dredge boats. Continue on the gravel road to Kleinzee on the West Coast. We enter the secretive, previously districted diamond area owned by The Beers. We need to apply for permits at least two weeks in advance. Time at leisure for e.g. a coastline walk. Whales are very often seen close to the shoreline. Overnight: Noup or Koingnaas Meals: B, L & D
DAY 7 Diamond Coast Today we explore the Diamond area on the 37km 4x4 Shipwreck Route. Throughout the years the stormy Atlantic has prevented many ships to reach their destination. They found their final resting place at the coastline between Koingnaas and Kleinzee. We visit three of these wrecks, the Piratiny, Arosa and Border, untouched beaches and other interesting sights. Overnight: Noup or Koingnaas Meals: B, L + D
DAY 8 Diamond Coast – Klein Pella - We enter the high security area and experience the process of alluvial diamond mining. You will also have the chance to visit the seal colony in the security area. We depart to Springbok where we will visit Springbok Lodge where a fascinating collection of mineral samples and semiprecious stones are showcased. Continue to Klein Pella near Pella. Klein Pella is an oasis in the desert, being a grape export farm and the largest date farm in the Southern Hemisphere. Overnight: Klein Pella Meals: B, L & D
DAY 9 Augrabies Depart to Augrabies Falls National Park. Visit Falls, which is the sixth largest waterfall in the world when South Africa’s largest river, the Orange is in flood. Sight seeing- and game drive to awesome viewpoints such as Ararat and Oranjekom on the Orange River Gorge. Giraffe, springbok, gemsbok, eland, and klipspringer can be seen. Fish eagles and black eagles are common residents. Overnight: Augrabies Meals: B, L & D
DAY 10 Augrabies - Upington Optional 2 – 3 hour River Rafting at R 195 – 00 per person. Depart to Upington. En route visit the Persian Water Wheels at Kakamas. From Kakamas we drive on the scenic gravel road passing through a large quiver tree forest, south of the Orange River between Kakamas and Keimoes. Our next stop is at the largest inhabited inland island in South Africa, Kanoneiland. En route we do some wine tasting at the second largest cooperative wine cellar in the world, the Orange River Wine Cellar. Arrive in Upington during the afternoon. End of tour. Meals: B
